if you like the taste of dill seed then yes but if not then no. Its all about what you want. In my egg salad I only put mayo, salt, pepper, eggs, sweet pickle juice, and little sweet pickle cubes. Delish

Yes, that will work just fine. If you really like the dill flavor, also add a little chopped dill pickle. It adds flavor and crunch.

Dill weed and dill seed do not taste the same, but wither one would work in egg salad. Also, the dill weed will have a much stronger flavor, so if you’re going to sub it,use a lot less and taste test until it’s how you like it.
